Lance is a performer specialising in bringing the Bible to life - he sometimes calls himself ’The Walking Bible’! Through this and through training events, he helps churches to make the reading from the Bible a high point in services and meetings. He also gives poetry performances and one-man shows to entertain audiences of all kinds. He performs serious biographies of poets, offers light-hearted entertainments on Cricket and Music Hall and even leads guided poetry walks.

He is equally at home on both the church and secular ’stage’. In the last 10 years he has performed at Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Oval Cricket Ground, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Spring Harvest and in churches of all denominations.

Lance particularly valued being a part of a prayer group with other local artists he met through ACG. He also enjoyed helping to run exhibitions when ACG’ s office was at St Saviours in Knightsbridge.
