Ruthie Thomas began her career as a gospel singer and composer. Her work has been published by Stainer & Bell, in various collections of songs and hymns for children and adults. Ruthie also studied children’s fiction within the School of English Studies at King Alfred’s University College, where she achieved an M.A.

Ruthie also herself offers an assessment service for professional writing of children manuscripts.

Ruby Tucker is Ruthie’s first published novel for children, and is released in May 2008.

Ruthie has been a member of ACG since 2000 and recently commented: "I really appreciate the ACG for the willingness of those who share and help. I’d like to take the opportunity to thank Nigel Goodwin, Dave Berry, Hilary Brand and also the administrators."
